Counselling Assistant

The purpose of this new part-time role is to maintain our kind and compassionate approach to our patients, while also leading the drive to enable our counselling services achieve the next stage of their development.

This role focuses on supporting the National Co-ordinator to deliver counselling and educational services. A background or experience in counselling is essential as the assistant will take and make calls to patients as they manage referrals to our external counsellor network.

Patient Support Assistant

The purpose of this new part-time role is to maintain our kind and compassionate approach while also leading the drive to enable our patient support services achieve the next stage of their development.

This role focuses on supporting the Patient Support Manager to deliver financial aid and signpost to other support services. A background or experience in social care is essential as the assistant will communicate with patients and their families assessing their needs and organising financial aid payments.

Fundraising Manager

The IKA is now seeking its first specialist fundraiser to join their hugely committed team and lead on income generation activities for the charity. This person will cement the existing strength of the community / local fundraising while also developing other income streams.

The core function of this role is to generate income; therefore, it is essential that the successful candidate has previous fundraising, sales or account management experience and the ability to connect with people to build long-term relationships with potential donors.

Renal Support Officer

This is a unique opportunity to work on behalf of patients who are experiencing end stage kidney disease and their families. The support officer role is a remote working role that provides the link between families travelling from outside Dublin to attend Dublin based hospital appointments.

The support officer is responsible for organising accommodation for patients and/or their families in the Clayton hotel (or alternative accommodation, if the Clayton is fully booked) under the current agreement with Beaumont hospital.
