We have a verified account with iDonate, which means any money that is collected for the Irish Kidney Association is delivered straight to our accounts at the end of the event – you won’t need to fo anything for this to happen. iDonate take a fee from each donation of 1.95% + 25c. There fees are fully transparent with no hidden costs or unexpected extras.
They are a 100% Irish-owned platform and committed to providing the best service for causes and to making giving easy for everyone.
iDonate provides secure and easy payment options for donors and all donations are transferred directly to each cause on a monthly basis.

Information and Top Tips for JustGiving Fundraisers

We have a verified account with JustGiving, which means any money that is collected for the Irish Kidney Association is delivered straight to our accounts at the end of the event – you won’t need to fo anything for this to happen. JustGiving take a fee from each donation of 2.9%. There fees are fully transparent with no hidden costs or unexpected extras.
The money is ring-fenced in a trust before it is given to us, which means if JustGiving went into administration before the end of your fundraiser, no money would be lost (this in unlikely but you never know!).
You can update a JustGiving fundraiser with any amount you have raised in cash too, so your final otal refelcts exactly what you have raised

If you’re not setting up an online fundraising page, you can still raise money for the Irish Kidney Association hosting an offline fundraiser and letting us know the details so we can support and acknowledge your efforts.

Birthday Fundraiser

Celebrate your birthday in a meaningful way by asking friends, family and colleagues to donate instead of giving traditional presents.

A Walk or Run

Lace up your shoes and walk or run a set distance. Take on a solo challenge, a local walk with friends and family, or join a larger organised 5k/10k run or walk.

Cycle Challenge

Complete a short local cycle with family and friends, a community bike ride, or a longer-distance sponsored challenge over one or more days.

Your contribution will support the ongoing costs of running of the National Kidney Support Centre, including energy, food, broadband and other essential costs.

Dublin Marathon

Run for the Irish Kidney Association. The Dublin Marathon is an annual event that takes place on the last Sunday of October in Ireland’s capital city covering a distance of 42.2 km/ 26.2 miles.

VHI Women’s Mini Marathon

Walk or run for the Irish Kidney Association. The VHI Women’s Mini Marathon is an annual event that usually takes place on the June Bank Holiday weekend in Dublin city covering a distance of 10km.

How to contribute to the IKA

There are many ways you can contribute to the Irish Kidney Association services to help support kidney patients and their families. All gifts, regardless of size, really do make a difference and all are appreciated.

Contribute by Online

You can make a custom donation on our website using Stripe or Paypal.

Give

Contribute by Bank Transfer

Unfortunately, due to repeated attempted fraud we can no longer provide our bank account details online. Please email fundraising@ika.ie with your name and phone number noting the name of your recent fundraiser and they will be in touch.

Contribute by Phone

We can process donations and purchases of items from our online shop over the phone using SumUp. SumUp takes a fee of 2.95% + €0.25 per transaction.
